Nottingham Forest striker Scott Dobie will miss the rest of the season with a hip injury.
The news will come as a bitter blow to the striker, who has not been able to shake off the problem since first picking it up in September.
After being ruled out for three-and-a-half months, the 25-year-old's return was cut short after just 70 minutes of first-team action.
Dobie then travelled to the USA to see a specialist, but although an operation on his hip was successful, caretaker manager Frank Barlow does not expect him to regain fitness until pre-season in July.
"Our medical staff have already reported an improvement in Scott's condition but realistically speaking, he's looking to get himself ready for next season," Barlow commented.
"It's been frustrating but hopefully he can now see an end to his problem."
