Yeovil boss Gary Johnson is expected to use Saturday's friendly against Portsmouth to take a look at former Nottingham Forest forward Craig Westcarr.

The 20-year-old left The City Ground last term after failing to carve out a niche for himself in Gary Megson's squad.

Johnson is continuing to look for new additions after leading The Glovers to the League Two title last year, and has offered the England youth international the chance to earn a deal at Huish Park.

Westcarr undertook loan spells at both Lincoln and MK Dons last season, although found the net just once in a total of ten appearances for the two outfits.

Johnson could also let Westcarr loose against Burgess Hill on Sunday as he seeks to gain a comprehensive impression of the youngster.
