Forest keeper charged

Nottingham Forest keeper Paul Gerrard has been charged with improper conduct.

Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Paul Gerrard has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association.

The former Everton custodian was charged for the alleged actions he made in Forest's away match at Millwall on October 3.

The 31-year-old was thought to have made gestures towards Millwall supporters as he walked off the pitch at half time at The Den.

Gerrard will have until December 15 to respond to the charges brought against him by The FA.

An FA spokesman revealed that the process regarding Gerrard's improper conduct charge took more time than under the current fast-track disciplinary system.

"We do have a system for fast-tracking disciplinary cases, but this incident was not included in the match report, so a number of witnesses had to be contacted and information collated," said the FA spokesman.
