Striker only signed for Posh at the start of this summer's window

Sky Sports understands Peterborough have turned down a £1.5 million bid for Tyrone Barnett from an unnamed club. The Championship club reportedly paid Crawley Town in the region of £1.2million to bring the 26-year-old to London Road at the start of this summer's transfer window. Barnett bagged an impressive four goals in 12 starts after initially moving to the club on an emergency loan deal back in February. The side which finished 18th last season under manager Darren Ferguson had been determined to bolster their forward line. Chairman Darragh MacAnthony admitted the club beat off several competitors from the Championship to sign the highly-rated forward.
