Posh striker explains reasons behind snubbing Blackpool move

Peterborough United striker Tyrone Barnett insists he does not regret turning down the chance to join Blackpool in the January transfer window. Barnett linked up with Peterborough last month on loan from Crawley Town until the end of the season with a view to a permanent move, and he has scored twice in four Championship appearances. He had discussed the prospect of a move to Blackpool after Crawley accepted a bid, but Barnett opted against heading to the Lancashire coast. The 26-year-old scored Peterborough's opening goal in Saturday's 3-1 win over Blackpool and Barnett is happy with the decision he made. "Crawley accepted the offer from Blackpool but with the location and the personal terms it wasn't the right move for me," said Barnett. "I was close to signing for Blackpool but I don't have any regrets."
