Stevenage have signed Arsenal teenager Luke Freeman on loan until January 8, with the view to an extended deal.

Freeman, who was part of an Arsenal XI that played Boro at the Lamex Stadium in pre-season, scored twice in 13 league games during a loan spell with Yeovil last season. Arsenal signed the forward from Gillingham in 2008, after he had made three appearances for the Kent club. While at the Priestfield Stadium, Freeman became the youngest-ever player to feature in the FA Cup proper, playing against Barnet in the first round in November 2007. He was aged 15 years and 233 days and came on as an 83rd-minute substitute in the 2-1 loss. Freeman trained with his new team-mates on Thursday and the 19-year-old will be available for selection against Leyton Orient on Saturday.
