Arsenal's Luke Freeman insists he will wait for the right opportunity before leaving the Emirates on loan.

Former England Under-17 striker fully fit after injuries

Arsenal starlet Luke Freeman insists he will wait for the right opportunity before leaving the Emirates on loan. The 19-year-old enjoyed a spell at Yeovil last term and he began his time promisingly, as he scored on his debut against Leyton Orient. He also scored against Rochdale but his six-month loan was cut short following an injury which forced him to return to parent club Arsenal. Freeman's first experience of going out on loan was soured by his injuries, but he believes that he will thrive in the right environment.

Experience

"I definitely want to go back out on loan to get that experience," he told Arsenal Player. "First, I'll make sure it's the right club and just hopefully wait for a good one to come in for me. "I had a few injuries at Yeovil that let me down. The first couple of months I did well and then they hit. "I've never really suffered with them in my life, but I think I had three or four in about six months there.
Unfortunate
"It was definitely gutting. I didn't get as many games as I'd wanted to because the injuries held me back which was very unfortunate. The former England Under-17 international is aware that he needs to further his career by experiencing first-team football in the lower leagues, but he is prepared to bide his time. "It's vital for any young player to get experience, especially with how it is at the moment," he added. "Clubs might sometimes judge players on their experience more than their talent. A lot of people have the talent, but maybe not the experience to go out and play matches every week."
