Bristol City winger targeting promotion

Bristol City winger Albert Adomah has called on his team-mates to give their season a kick-start this weekend, as they entertain high-flying Brighton. The Robins have picked up five points from as many games so far, but remain unbeaten in their last three following a 1-1 draw at struggling Doncaster last time out. However, a poor start to last season cost the ambitious club a chance at promotion and the recently-capped Ghana international has told skysports.com that no-one should rule them out of the race just yet. "Brighton have obviously had a great start to life in the Championship, but we always go out to win our home games and Brighton will be exactly the same," said Adomah. "They aren't that far away from us in the table, so beating them would bring us a lot closer to where we want to be.

Hit the ground running

"At this stage of the season anyone can be touted as favourites for promotion because it is still early days." "Even teams towards the bottom, such as Doncaster, can mount a promotion push, so you can't rule out any clubs at this stage. "We obviously want to push for promotion this year and that remains the aim throughout the season. "Obviously, the start we had last season did make us put a lot of effort into hitting the ground running this year, but we haven't had the best of starts so far. "We've got more points on the board than at this stage last season though, so we just have to kick on from here."
