Bristol City midfielder Gavin Williams has withdrawn from the Wales squad for their upcoming 2010 World Cup qualifiers.
Williams has been forced to pull out of John Toshack's squad for the games against Finland and Germany due to a calf strain.
The 28-year-old missed his club's Championship defeat at Queens Park Rangers on Saturday due to the injury and requires further treatment on the problem.
The Robins hope Williams will be fit for their next game against Preston North End on Saturday 4th April, but the player will not recover in time to feature for Wales.
The former West Ham United man was recalled by Toshack for the qualifying double-header after a long spell in the international wilderness.
Williams has won two caps for Wales, the last of which came in a 1-0 defeat by Cyprus back in November 2005.
