Bristol City starlet Scott Brown looks to be heading for the exit door at Ashton Gate.
Brown's future under Gary Johnson looks less than certain, as skysports.com understands that the player has been offered to League One rivals Cheltenham Town in exchange for their in-demand defender Brian Wilson.
Crewe and Plymouth have both lodged bids for Wilson - who is set to leave Whaddon Road.
Now The Robins are set to join the hunt for Wilson and Johnson is looking to use Brown as bait.
However, Brown himself is very well regarded and a number of Championship clubs have now been alerted to his possible availability.
Earlier this year the likes of Preston, Birmingham and Leeds were all keeping tabs on him - and they could now rekindle their interest.
