Brentford have signed Bristol City centre-back David Partridge on a month's loan.
The Wales international arrives at Griffin Park for an initial four-week spell until 4th February.
The former West Ham United, Dundee United and Motherwell player had spent time on loan with League One rivals Leyton Orient this term before being jailed in September for his part in a nightclub brawl outside a Bristol city centre nightclub in October 2005.
The 28-year-old has not appeared for Gary Johnson's side this season, and will aim to put his career back on track with the South West London outfit, as The Bees look to get out of relegation trouble.
"Dave has been working really hard in training, but at the moment, I am unable to guarantee him first-team football and this move gives him that opportunity," said Johnson.
"We'll assess the situation again at the end of the loan, or just before that."
Partridge has been joined by winger Joe Keith following his move from Orient on Wednesday.
Keith has signed a five-month contract with The Bees after falling down the pecking order at Brisbane Road.
