Yeovil Town are closing in on the signature of Marcus Stewart, according to Bristol City chairman Steve Lansdown.
The veteran striker has proved to be a shrewd signing since joining The Glovers for a three-month loan spell at the start of the season.
However, his temporary spell at Huish Park drew to a close at the weekend following Yeovil's 2-0 defeat against Scunthorpe.
It does, though, look as if a permanent arrangement is close to being struck after Lansdown and vice-chairman Keith Dawe engaged in discussions with the player, his agent and officials from Yeovil.
Talks proved productive and it now looks as if a transfer will be completed pending Stewart agreeing personal terms.
"From Saturday's discussions it's fair to say ourselves and Yeovil are in agreement with regards the way forward and it's up to Yeovil to speak to Marcus."
