Yeovil have opened talks with Bristol City about making Marcus Stewart's move permanent.
Stewart is currently on a three-month loan at Yeovil after falling out of favour at Ashton Gate.
The former Ipswich striker has impressed at Yeovil scoring five goals in 12 games, but his loan deal is due to expire this weekend.
However, Yeovil are now in talks with City about keeping Stewart.
"After all the speculation about a move (for Stewart) we have now actually started talking," said City chairman Steve Lansdown.
"It will be an on-going process between the clubs and hopefully we can reach an agreement."
