Featherstone future in the air

Walsall winger Nicky Featherstone admits he does not know where he will be next season, with York reported to be interested in signing him.

The 25-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer, has made 28 appearances for the Saddlers this term, but was linked with a loan move to League One rivals Oldham in March. Featherstone has attracted the interest of Minstermen boss Nigel Worthington, who is attempting to mastermind promotion from League Two, and could make the move to Bootham Crescent as a free agent in the summer. But the former Hull trainee is not certain what the future holds for him. "I haven't given next season much thought as yet as up until the last few weeks we were in with a chance of the play-offs," Featherstone said. "But I'd have thought I'd be sitting down with the gaffer sometime next week so until then I don't know where I'll be." Lee Johnson's Latics are also thought to be monitoring Featherstone's situation.
