Scunthorpe will release details of the budget following the board of directors' meeting with the club's supporters group.
The board met with the Iron Trust at the end of last month following an earlier meeting with club chairman Steve Wharton and want fans to gain a clearer picture of the current financial pressures. "Regular communication between the club and the Trust is bound to see benefits for both parties and the fanbase as a whole," said the club's general manager David Beeby. "The productive discussions we had have already led to the agreement to release financial information, which will help supporters to better understand the current position of the club." Iron Trust's interim board member Luke Thornhill added: "We were very encouraged by the meeting with the football club's board and feel it's a further progression in our relationship. "We're delighted the club have agreed to our suggestion to release information about this year's budget as we want our fanbase to be as informed as possible about the way the club is run, especially as we look to counter the £1.95million loss recorded last season."
