Scunthorpe have announced Cliff Byrne's benefit match for little over two months' time.
It will pit the club's play-off winning side of 2009 against an Iron XI from the defender's time at the club.
The encounter will take place at Glanford Park on Sunday, July 29 in honour of the Irishman's services to the club.
Out-of-contract skipper Byrne, 30, will be released this summer after nine years with Scunthorpe - 12 months short of his testimonial year.
Byrne will be best remembered by Iron fans for scoring a last-minute equaliser against Tranmere on the final day of the 2008/09 season, securing a top-six finish in League One before leading the club to play-off final glory at Wembley.
