Knill pleased with 10-man Iron

Scunthorpe manager Alan Knill was delighted with a point, following his side's 1-1 draw with high-flying Sheffield United.

The Iron were reduced to 10 men following the dismissal of Andy Barcham, but managed to hold on for a share of the spoils. And Knill was pleased with his players' performances. "I think this was a great result for us," he insisted. "Most people will regard Sheffield United as the best team in this division. But in the first half I thought we looked like the best team in this division. "Our passing and movement was excellent. It was a great goal by Chris Dagnall and I feel we should have been more in front at half-time. "But for the second successive game we have been reduced to 10 men before the interval and it has hurt us. Maybe I am just getting old but players didn't get sent off for that sort of tackle in my day."
