Striker set to go straight into Derby squad to face Hull

Derby County have snapped up striker Theo Robinson from Championship rivals Millwall on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent move. Robinson only joined Millwall on a permanent basis in January after spending three months on loan at The Den from Huddersfield Town. However, the 22-year-old has struggled to settle in the capital and the Midlands-born forward has been allowed to link up with Derby. Rams boss Nigel Clough has been anxious to improve his attacking options and is happy to have added Robinson to last week's capture of Jamie Ward from Sheffield United.

Raw pace

"I said after Saturday's game at Scunthorpe it was nice to have the option to have two strikers starting the game and two more on the bench, so bringing Theo in enhances our options even further," Clough told the club's official website. "Theo is another forward with raw pace and we've found out to our cost what he is capable of in front of goal this season. "Like Jamie Ward; he is someone we've monitored for some time because he has scored goals wherever he has been." Robinson, who scored in Millwall's 2-0 win over Derby in October, will go straight into Clough's squad for Tuesday's game at home to Hull City.
