Winnall seals Brewers switch

Burton have completed the signing of Sam Winnall from Premier League side Wolverhampton on a month's loan.

The 20-year-old striker will go straight into the squad to face League Two leaders Chesterfield on Friday evening. "They think really highly of him at Wolves," said Albion boss Paul Peschisolido. "He has been training with us for about a week now and I have watched him in the Wolves reserves where he has always popped up and scored goals. He is impressive, he is a goalscorer with good feet and he is clever." Winnall spent much of the last campaign recovering from a cruciate ligament injury, but an impressive pre-season resulted in him making his senior debut for Wolves in a Carling Cup tie against Southend in August.
