Scunthorpe goalkeeper Joe Murphy is set to miss the start of the season due to a groin injury.
The Republic of Ireland international suffered the injury during training and is expected to be out for six weeks.
Scunthorpe kick off their League One campaign on 9th August and Murphy looks likely to sidelined for at least the first four or five games.
The 26-year-old revealed in May that he wanted to leave Glanford Park to boost his international ambitions, following the Iron's relegation from the Championship.
His absence could allow Josh Lillis to stake a claim for a regular starting spot in Nigel Adkins' side.
