Scunthorpe striker Billy Sharp has capped a fine campaign by being named PFA Fans' Player of the Year.
The former Sheffield United man has shown over the past two seasons that the Premiership club were perhaps too hasty in relinquishing his services, having played a pivotal role in back-to back promotions at Glanford Park.
Sharp topped the goalscoring charts last season and this term he has repeated the feat, as his 31 goals helped Scunthorpe to the Championship.
Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins is delighted that his player has been rewarded for such a fine season, claiming this personal accolade is well deserved.
"He's been magnificent for us, not just this season but also last," Adkins told the PFA's official website.
"We are not a one-man band, it's very much a team effort, but it was fitting that Billy got the goals that sealed our promotion - I'm so proud."
