Lee Ridley and Matthew Sparrow have signed new contracts at Scunthorpe United.
Defender Ridley has signed a one-year deal with The Iron, with the option for another season at Glanford Park.
The deal could see the 24-year-old extend his stay with the League One club until the summer of 2008 and is a boost for a player that missed most of the last season with injury problems.
Midfielder Sparrow has signed a two-year contract with the North Lincolnshire outfit - with an option for a further year with the club.
The news comes after Iron boss Brian Laws completed his first summer signing in goalkeeper Joe Murphy from Sunderland.
Meanwhile, recently released winger Wayne Corden has been offered a two-year contract by former loan club Leyton Orient.
