Andy Parton has rejected a new deal offer from Scunthorpe to sign for Stalybridge Celtic.
Iron boss Brian Laws believes the 21-year-old has tremendous potential and offered him a new contract for next season.
However, Parton has decided to head for Stalybridge having seemingly been impressed with the club during his loan spell last season.
Parton scored eight goals for Celtic last term and is seemingly keen to fire the club up the non-league ladder.
"I'm so excited at the prospect of Lee Ellington and Andy Parton up front for next season," Celtic manager John Reed told the club's website. "A strikeforce like that gives me great optimism as both are easily capable of 20 goals a season."
Celtic are in the Conference North and Reed has made a raft of signings in a bid to make them promotion contenders.
