The Glovers were looking to take advantage of Southend's loss to Leyton Orient on Friday evening, but they could not claim the win they were looking for.
Arron Davies (pictured) put Yeovil ahead on the hour, but Mark Rawle grabbed a point for second from bottom Kidderminster.
Scunthorpe moved into second after a 4-0 drubbing of bottom side Cambridge at Glanford Park.
Richard Kell (34), Andy Crosby (65) and Cleveland Taylor (81 & 84) secured the win which almost spells the end of League Two life for Cambridge who are now nine points off safety.
Lincoln City moved into fifth place and leapfrogged Macclesfield Town after a 2-0 win over The Silkmen at Sincil Bank.
Goals in either half from Richard Butcher (33) and Francis Green (68) gave Lincoln victory.
Darlington remain in the last play-off spot despite drawing 1-1 at Mansfield Town.
Clyde Wijnhard put The Quakers ahead (66) but Rhys Day rescued a late point for Mansfield.
Northampton missed the chance to go ahead of Darlington after they lost 1-0 at Cheltenham, with Damian Spencer (22) grabbing the only goal at Whaddon Road.
In-turn Wycombe failed to grasp the opportunity to move past Northampton, after they suffered a shock 2-1 home loss to Bury.
Roger Johnson put Wanderers ahead, but Simon Whaley (34) and David Flitcroft (81) secured the points for The Shakers.
Rushden look to have secured their Football League status after a 4-2 win over Boston at Nene Park.
Daryl Clare (pen 13) put Boston ahead before Drewe Broughton (27) levelled.
Brad Maylett put the visitors back in front, but then The Diamonds took charge as Billy Sharp fired in a hat-trick (54, 65 & 84).
Rob Gier was dismissed late on for Rushden, but they managed to hold on for all three points.
Chester City came from two goals down to seal a 2-2 draw with Bristol Rovers.
Ryan Williams (23) and Junior Agogo (30) put Rovers ahead but two goals from Stewart Drummond sealed a share of the spoils for City.
Notts County matched Chester's comeback as they too came from two goals down to seal a home draw with Grimsby.
Andy Parkinson (27) and Jason Crowe (50) looked to have done enough for The Mariners, but Stefan Oakes pounced twice (76 & 88) late on to rescue a point.
The final game saw Rochdale and Shrewsbury play out a 1-1 draw at Spotland.
Mike Sheron (8) put The Shrews ahead from the penalty spot, but Rickie Lambert levelled for Dale just before the interval.
