Joe Murphy - Coventry
Murphy contributed an impressive display between the sticks for the Sky Blues as they overcame Oldham 2-1. The Irish keeper held firm with a string of fine saves to keep the visitors at bay, particularly his quick-thinking block of substitute Dan Taylor's well-taken low drive in the second half.
Nathan Thompson - Swindon
Swindon kept themselves firmly in the promotion race with a 2-0 home win over Shrewsbury and Thompson was a solid presence at the back as the Robins claimed their 14th clean sheet of the season - more than any other League One side. The 22-year-old also had a hand in Andy Williams' goal, picking up a stray clearance to set the wheels in motion.
Rob Jones - Doncaster
Influential Rovers captain Jones is becoming a regular fixture in our team of the week and he makes the cut again after another strong display against Leyton Orient. The centre-back helped Rovers to a 2-0 win, contributing the opening goal when he nodded home from David Cotterill's corner in the 19th minute.
Malvind Benning - Walsall
The teenage defender contributed to a superb team display from the Saddlers as they saw off Bournemouth 3-1 to end the Cherries' unbeaten streak. The 19-year-old helped hold things steady at the back, while his long clearance sent Will Grigg on his way to winning his first of two penalties for the home side.
Alan Judge - Notts County
Judge has been a key performer for the Magpies so far this season and he played a crucial role once again at home to Sheffield United as he salvaged a 1-1 draw. The midfielder left it late to rescue a share of the spoils, popping up with a glancing header in the 80th minute to earn a point.
James Bailey - Coventry
Another star man for the Sky Blues was Bailey as he sealed their win over Oldham. The midfielder struck deep into stoppage time with a peach of a goal, volleying into the top corner from 15 yards. That strike capped an industrious display from the 24-year-old as he helped Coventry move up to seventh.
James Coppinger - Doncaster
Coppinger was at the creative heart of a spirited Doncaster side as they saw off Leyton Orient, opening up plenty of chances for the hosts. The Yorkshireman ran the show in midfield until cramp forced him to make an early exit in the 70th minute, leaving the pitch to a standing ovation from the home crowd.
Simon Ferry - Swindon
Ferry was another stand-out performer as Swindon beat Shrewsbury, creating opportunities from midfield and feeding the tricky Matt Ritchie and Gary Roberts out on the flanks. He also came close to scoring in the second half when his long-range free-kick almost snuck in at the near post.
Andy Robinson - Tranmere
Robinson helped keep Tranmere flying high at the top of the table as he scored from the penalty spot in their 2-1 win at Brentford. The veteran winger stepped up and coolly slotted home after Harlee Dean had brought down David Amoo to put the gloss on a solid display.
Will Grigg - Walsall
Grigg contributed a man-of-the-match winning performance for the in-form Saddlers as his two penalties inspired their 3-1 win over Bournemouth. The 21-year-old teased a foul from goalkeeper David James for the first before Eunan O'Kane picked the ball up in the penalty area to hand Walsall another, which Grigg also slipped home.
Adam McGurk - Tranmere
McGurk was on target with Tranmere's other goal against Brentford, snatching the winner in the 66th minute with a fantastic solo effort. The striker dodged two defenders before firing past goalkeeper Simon Moore from an awkward angle to seal the success.
