Robinson eager for season start

Burton chairman Ben Robinson's excitement for the forthcoming season has grown now that the fixtures have been released.

Albion kick-off the 2015/16 campaign in the third tier for the first time in the club's history after winning promotion as League Two champions. They begin with a home game against Scunthorpe before trips to Barnsley and Blackpool, with the first derby against Staffordshire rivals Port Vale at the Pirelli Stadium on October 24. Robinson is relishing the prospect of seeing how Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's side fare in League One and he believes Burton will offer good value for money next season. "We are looking forward to another exciting season with some big games that I'm sure our fans won't want to miss," said Robinson. "There's still time to buy season tickets, offering some of the best value prices in League One, or you can buy tickets in advance for all games, saving £2 on the on-the-day admission prices." On Burton's start to the campaign, assistant manager David Oldfield said: "We know all the games will be difficult but we want to be as competitive as possible from the start and we will look to be well prepared and ready for the season ahead. "The fans have been vital for us and I'm sure everyone will be looking forward to the new season, now the fixtures are out."
