Crewe have offered professional terms to five players who hope to be the latest batch of youngsters to make the grade at Gresty Road.
The Railwaymen, who have a reputation for developing their own prodigies such as Danny Murphy, Seth Johnson, Ashley Westwood and Nick Powell, have handed contracts to Andre Brown, Joe Howell, Joe Kearns, Toby Mullarkey and Liam O'Neill. The quintet were all part of the team which reached the FA Youth Cup quarter-finals last term.
