Swindon defender Raphael Rossi Branco has been handed a three-game ban by the FA after admitting a charge of violent conduct.

The incident with Bristol City defender Aden Flint, where the right-back appeared to smash his opponent in the face with his forearm at a set-piece, occurred in the sixth minute of Tuesday's 3-0 loss at Ashton Gate and was not seen by the match officials but seen by the viewing public live on television. Branco was charged by the governing body on Thursday and has swiftly accepted it, meaning he will now serve a five-game ban as he was about to commence a two-game suspension for accruing 10 yellow cards throughout the season. An FA statement read: "Swindon Town's Raphael Rossi Branco will serve a three-match suspension with immediate effect after he admitted an act of violent conduct which was not seen by the match officials but caught on video. "The FA charge was in relation to an incident which occurred in the sixth minute of Swindon's game at Bristol City on 7 April 2015."
