New Leyton Orient signing Jake Taylor says regular football was more important than Reading's big day out.

The Welsh winger made the loan switch to Orient having featured just three times since Steve Clarke's appointment and admits his career was the priority rather than the chance of involvement against Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-final. "It's probably the biggest game for a long time in the club's history," he told the East London and West Essex Guardian. "Obviously to not be a part of that is frustrating but I think it was more important I came out here and played some games until the end of the season instead of being in the squad and not being involved. "I haven't been playing much at Reading so it's nice to come here and play and hopefully keep Leyton Orient in League One which is where they belong."
