Robins issues rallying cry

Scunthorpe boss Mark Robins insists his side's League One survival fate is still in their own hands.

The Iron are now nine games without a win after Saturday's 2-2 draw at fellow strugglers Notts County to leave them just a point above the bottom four. Robins is preparing his side for testing Easter weekend games against Peterborough at home and MK Dons away, and that is the only thing he is focusing on. "It is what it is, we can't do anything about anybody else's results," Robins said. "The key for us is to stay focused on what we're doing because we can't affect what anybody else is doing. "We know there are eight games left and we know people become anxious and demand different things. "We can work as hard as we can do but we have to make sure we stop conceding stupid, sloppy goals which cost us points." Robins hopes to have Hakeeb Adelakun available for the Easter double-header, despite the striker going under the knife on Monday. Adelakun, who has scored three goals in 34 appearances this season, will have a wire inserted into his broken hand but should be fit for the weekend. Robins added: "He is booked in for an operation on Monday. He has a broken bone in his hand and he needs a wire putting in that. "He'll be training later on in the week, so I think he is going to be available for the weekend unless there is any adverse reaction."
