Swindon have signed Wolves defender Sam Ricketts on loan until the end of the season.

Wanderers head coach Kenny Jackett revealed on Thursday that several clubs had been interested in taking Ricketts on loan, and the Wales international, who has family ties in Swindon, has opted to join the Robins. The 33-year-old, who captained Wolves to the Sky Bet League One title last season, is currently away on international duty and will link up with Mark Cooper's men on his return. Swindon do not have a League One fixture this weekend but currently occupy third place in the table, two points behind Preston in the second automatic promotion spot. Wolves have a 24-hour recall clause on Ricketts after the first 28 days have passed.
