Brown keen on Oldham stay

Connor Brown would like to stay at Oldham, but admits his future will remain uncertain until the club appoint a new manager.

The full-back has been a shining light for Latics ever since he returned from a loan spell with Carlisle in January and has established himself as a firm fans' favourite at SportsDirect.com Park. The 23-year-old penned a new one-year deal in the summer and would be keen on extending that contract again, yet admits the fact the Sky Bet League One club have yet to replace Lee Johnson in the hot-seat means the situation is unresolved. "Nothing's really been spoken about yet," he said. "I'll have to see if the new manager likes me when one comes in or if the chairman still wants to keep me, I'll just be doing my best until that time comes really. "I want to stay. I've always loved it here since I've been here. If (the chairman) offers me a contract I'll be willing to sign it."
