Andy Halliday has turned his loan at Bradford City into a permanent move from Middlesbrough.

The 23-year-old Scottish midfielder has been a hit at Valley Parade since joining Phil Parkinson’s League One side in October, making 13 appearances and scoring two goals, including the third in the Bantams' 4-2 victory over Chelsea which knocked the Premier League leaders out of the FA Cup at the weekend.

Halliday moved to the Riverside from Livingston in 2010, signed by then-Boro boss Gordon Strachan, but spent the second half of last season on loan at Blackpool after finding opportunities limited.

He also spent some of the previous season at Walsall and made 36 league appearances for the Teessiders, scoring one goal, in total.
