Crewe defender Thierry Audel has been released from his contract with the League One club by mutual consent.
The 28-year-old, who first joined the Alex in the summer of 2013, has made just three appearances for the Alex this term and his contract was up at the end of this season. Audel spent time out on loan with Vanarama Conference side Lincoln between October and November and was also with the club for a loan spell last season too. In total, Audel made just three starts and a pair of substitute appearances for Crewe.
