Gillingham will interview Mark Yates for their vacant manager's position on Friday according to reports.

Yates has been out of work since leaving League Two Cheltenham at the end of November and is a candidate to replace Peter Taylor who was sacked by the Gills on Wednesday. Yates, who has also managed Kidderminster, spent almost five years in charge at Whaddon Road but left after a difficult start to the campaign. He is in the frame to take over at the League One club who are currently two points above the drop zone.
