Notts County striker Shaun Harrad has signed an extended contract with the club.

Nottingham-born Harrad, who began his career with the Magpies in 2002, put pen to paper on a short-term deal in August but he will now remain at Meadow Lane until the end of the season. The 29-year-old told the club's official website: "I'm obviously delighted. It's great that it's sorted and my immediate future is secure, I just want to push on now and keep doing what we are doing and that's winning games. "And hopefully forcing myself back in the side, which is proving difficult with Garry Thompson in such great form. "It's exciting times to be part of it. The manager and everyone here have been so supportive to me and I'm really enjoying my football again. "If the gaffer needs me from the start or towards the end, then I will put a shift in and always give 100 per cent. There's certainly exciting times ahead." Harrad, who has also played for Burton, Northampton and most recently Alfreton, has scored twice this season with goals against Crewe and Gillingham.
