Coventry City announce that goalkeeper Lee Burge has signed a new three-year deal with the club.

Burge, 21, is a product of the Sky Blues' Academy and has been understudy to number one Joe Murphy this season.

Development director Steve Waggott said he was delighted to secure a long-term committment from another promising Academy graduate.

"Steven Pressley has been very impressed with Lee's progression," Waggott told the club's official website.

"The manager is also a regular at Under-21s fixtures and has been equally impressed with his performances, so we're delighted that he has agreed a new contract with us.

"We believe that Lee has a very bright future. He has been working closely with goalkeeping coach Steve Ogrizovic for a number of years and he speaks very highly of his potential and we look forward to him realising that potential with us."

Burge signed a one-year deal with the club in the summer of 2011 and had a loan spell at Nuneaton in early 2013, keeping 10 clean sheets.
