Wasall have announced that eight players are leaving the club including top scorer Craig Westcarr.
The striker scored 17 goals this season but will not be offered a new deal along with Troy Hewitt, Danny Griffiths, Shane Lewis, Liam Roberts, Nicky Featherstone, Ben George and James McQuilkin. "We thank them for their efforts," boss Dean Smith told the club's official website. "At this time of the year decisions have to be made and we wish each of them well in the future." Discussions are currently ongoing with Andy Butler, James Chambers, Andy Taylor, Ben Purkiss, Kieron Morris and Jake Heath. One-year options have been taken up on youngsters Matt Preston and Reece Flanagan and the experienced Dean Holden has accepted a player/coach role for next season.
