Crawley chairman Dave Pottinger feels John Gregory can guide the club into the League One play-offs this season.
Town have collected nine points from seven matches since former Aston Villa and QPR boss Gregory took over from Richie Barker last month.
They are currently 14th, nine points adrift of the top six but Pottinger believes they can make up that gap.
"I don't see why not," he said.
"There are still lots of points to play for and the team has played very well since John joined us. He has upped the tempo and it's an exciting time."
