Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough has revealed that he may look to raid former club Derby County for January recruits.
Clough was relieved of his managerial duties at Pride Park in September, but wasted little time in landing a new job at Bramall Lane.
He was charged with the task of picking up the pieces following a slow start to the season, and the Blades have moved out of the League One drop zone.
There is, however, still a lot of work to be done and fresh faces may be required to help carry the club forward.
Clough intends on scouring the market in the New Year and admits that he will be starting his search in familiar surroundings.
Asked if he plans on exploring the Derby option, Clough told United's annual general meeting of shareholders: "That might be a possibility.
"It's something we have spoken and talked about.
"It's always an advantage when you know the people and the individuals concerned.
"So, yes, that's something we have looked at doing because we left some very good players there."
