Oldham manager Lee Johnson has been fined by the Football Association after admitting a charge of improper conduct.
Johnson was sent to the stands by referee Eddie Ilderton in last Saturday's 1-0 home defeat to Tranmere for his protests after the visitors were awarded a last-gasp penalty deep into injury time. The Latics boss has now been fined £1,000 but escaped a touchline ban. An FA statement read: "Oldham Athletic manager Lee Johnson has been fined £1,000 after he admitted a breach of FA Rule E3 in that his language and/or behaviour in or around the 90th minute of his side's game against Tranmere Rovers on 31 August 2013 amounted to improper conduct."
