Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade has won the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month award for August, with Bradford forward Nahki Wells taking the Player of the Month prize.
Slade has inspired Orient to a perfect start to the new season with five wins out of five taking them to the top of League One.
Slade beat off competition from Wolves manager Kenny Jackett, Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson and Coventry's Steven Pressley to take their first managerial gong of the season.
Bradford striker Wells picked up the Player of the Month prize after netting five goals in five matches.
Wells has made the step up to League One with ease and his form is thought to have attracted the interest of clubs from higher up the football standings.
Bradford boss Phil Parkinson was full of praise for Wells following his flying start to the campaign.
"This award is thoroughly deserved and a just reward for Nahki's brilliant efforts," said Parkinson. "I am sure Nahki will be keen to kick on now and keep improving further."
