Crawley Town have turned down two bids for central defender Kyle McFadzean from a fellow League One club.
Bristol City were linked with the 26-year-old during the January transfer window, but the Reds are keeping quiet on which club has tabled the bid.
McFadzean has been a central part of the West Sussex club's rise from non-league and manager Richie Barker is hopeful he will remain at Broadfield Stadium.
He told the club's official website: "I expected there to be interest in our players ahead of the closure of the transfer window on Monday.
"The club has made a statement of intent on Thursday by bringing in Emile Sinclair.
"I am sure the board and owners consider every offer for any of our players but I'm delighted that, as far as these bids are concerned, they have rejected them.
"Kyle has done superbly well after missing two-thirds of last season because of his virus. He is working hard and I definitely feel there is a lot more to come from him this season. He is an important part of our plans going forward."
