Oldham confirm that teenage winger Chris Sutherland has joined Barrow on a one-month youth loan.
Sutherland completed his switch to the Skrill North side on Monday and was named as a substitute in their 1-0 home league win over Harrogate that evening, coming on for the final 10 minutes. The winger, who made 10 first-team appearances for the Latics last season, has been beset by injury problems in 2013. Oldham manager Lee Johnson is anxious for his younger squad players to go out on loan to get experience of first-team football.
