Djumo on trial at Tranmere

Tranmere will have an Inter Milan striker training with them next week as they explore the possibility of securing a loan deal.

Teenage Portuguese striker Bocar Djumo, 18, will swap Italy for the Wirral during a month-long period in which he will be assessed by boss Ronnie Moore and his staff. "He's costing us nothing and he's here for a month for us to look at and if we fancy him we can take him until the end of the season or until January," Moore told Rovers' official website. "He's a left-footed striker who can also play wide on the left. We've got nothing to lose and maybe an awful lot to gain." Moore also announced he had whittled his number of trialists down from nine to three. He added: "We let a few go after the game on Saturday and we've kept James Rowe, Shaun Jeffers and Leon McSweeney. "We'll have another look at them this week. Rowe is very similar to Max Power, he has good energy and he sees a pass. "We'll probably make a decision on them after the game at Accrington."
