Sky Sports understands Sheffield United are closing in on the signing of Walsall striker Febian Brandy on a free transfer.
Brandy's contract at Walsall is due to expire and the Saddlers had been in negotiations regarding an extension for the 24-year-old.
However, the former Manchester United youngster is now poised to agree a move to League One rivals Sheffield United and is due to undergo a medical.
The forward joined Walsall on a one-year contract last summer after leaving Greek club Panetolikos and he scored seven goals in 37 appearances.
New Blades boss David Weir is reported to have made improving his attacking options one of the top priorities after taking charge at Bramall Lane.
