Robinson focussed on result

Karl Robinson was keen to focus on the result after his side kept their play-off hopes alive with a 2-0 win over Brentford.

Goals from Dean Bowditch and Stephen Gleeson helped Dons secure their second successive triumph and moved them to within eight points of the top six. Robinson said: "All I care about is the result. It wasn't pretty, it wasn't us at our best but I don't think you've seen Brentford at their best either. "And for me to have seven players out, that's not a bad performance against Brentford. "I thought the way the boys put their bodies on the line was excellent. We still live in hope, we will keep going to the end. "It's not in my make-up to quit and it's not in the players' make-up to fall short either. "I don't want the season to peter out but I think the players have showed you there's a lot of fight left in them. "Obviously they listen to me because I told Potter and Gleeson to sit and protect for the last 20 minutes, but Potter overlaps the left winger and pulls it back for Gleeson to score! "It was a tremendous goal, my celebration was a little bit stupid but that was just pure relief - that's the passion I've got for the club."
