Rosler hails battling Bees

Uwe Rosler paid tribute to his Brentford side's desire after they went second in League One with a last-gasp 1-0 win over Preston.

The Bees dominated for long periods but had to wait until stoppage time, when won and clinically converted a penalty. "Preston are a different team under Simon but it was a definite penalty. If you keep working, keep the tempo up and have the kind of desire we had then the percentages of getting a decision like that increase." The win sets Brentford up for a mouthwatering televised clash at Sheffield United next weekend when Rosler will be looking for an improvement on the last time his side visited Bramall Lane. He said: "I asked the players after this game what the good news was and they said 'we won'. They couldn't tell me the bad news so I told them, 'we're second'. "Every game will be like a cup final for us now but first I want to see how far we've progressed since the last time we went to United and lost comfortably."
