MacDonald has faith in ability

Shaun MacDonald is ready to return after two months out, and is confident of forcing his way back into the Bournemouth team.

The 24-year-old midfielder began full training with his Cherries team-mates again on Tuesday for the first time since midway through December when he sustained a knee injury against Colchester. And with Harry Arter and Eunan O'Kane impressing in his absence, the former Yeovil man is ready to prove his worth as he works his way back towards full fitness. "I have said before I believe in my ability to get back in the team somewhere down the line," he told the club's official website. "My main focus now is getting quite a few training sessions in and whatever happens, happens - you never know what is around the corner. "I'll keep working hard as I have been all along and I'll see what comes of it."
