Hartlepool have called on the club's supporters for help to ensure their weekend clash with Colchester can go ahead.

Victoria Park is currently under three inches of snow after worse weather than forecasted hit the town at the start of the week. And Pools have asked for volunteers to help out where they can to make sure John Hughes' side welcome their fellow League One strugglers on Saturday. Chief executive Russ Green told the club's official website: "We desperately want this game on and we will be doing everything in our power to make sure that happens. "While the weather has been worse than predicted and the forecast is changing all the time, we would call on fans to come and help us out if they can spare the time. "It's vital that we make safe the stands and other areas in and around the ground and, as well as hoping for volunteers to help staff, we have also been in touch with the Council for their assistance. Hartlepool are 10 points behind Colchester, who have lost their last nine league games.
